We are on Melrose, a short drive from Mid-City. Most Mid-City residents are within a eight-to-twelve-minute drive or a short walk. From Mid-City Park it is a quick trip up La Cienega and east on Melrose. From the Sunset Strip, take San Vicente and cut over. We see Mid-City dogs and cats every day.

From the heart of Mid-City, we are three to seven minutes depending on traffic. Take Fairfax Ave south to Melrose and turn east, or come down La Cienega and cut across on Beverly. Street parking is usually available on Melrose and the side streets.

What Mid-City pets tend to need
Mid-City is a dense urban neighborhood, which means our patients from here have a few consistent themes.
- Small breed dentals. Mid-City skews small dog, and small dogs skew dental disease. We do full dentals with x-rays here, and we post the price.
- Heat and pavement. Summer Melrose asphalt hits 140°F in the sun. We see paw pad burns and heat stress from June to October. If it is over 85°F, walk your dog before 9 AM or after sunset.
- Anxiety from dense living. Apartment dogs, elevator dogs, neighbor dogs. Anxiety is real. We do acupuncture and behavior conversations here, not just medications.
- Foxtail season. Runyon Canyon and Kings Road Park have foxtails from April through September. Check between paw pads and ears after any hike.
