EXCELLENT Based on 73 reviews Posted on Rebecca ChamblissTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. One of the rare independent vets still around offering amazing care, affordable pricing and great service. Highly recommend.Posted on Chris CarterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you’re looking for an amazing vet, Paw Priority is absolutely the place to go. You can genuinely tell how much they care about every pet that walks through their doors. Dr. Ameis is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, and he takes the time to make you feel informed and supported. Their staff is just as wonderful. Rebecca and Jose are fantastic technicians who go above and beyond. They helped our dog Jackson recover from a pretty serious skin irritation and infection that led to hospitalization and a lot of medications. We felt supported and cared for every step of the way. We’re so grateful for the whole team. Thank you, Paw Priority!Posted on Faith DempseyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My cat, Blossom, had an unexpected medical emergency last night, and after calling Paw Priority, they were immediately able to accommodate her. I brought her in right before closing time, and they still treated her as a top priority (no pun intended.) They provided prompt, loving care & were able to get her all fixed up (despite her misdirected spiciness with Dr. Ameis.) They did not push for anything unnecessary and gave helpful insights into what treatments were and were not necessary, providing full transparency on cost ahead of treatment. I couldn’t recommend Paw Priority enough!Posted on Mel EbensteinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I only regret that I have but 5 stars to give to this vet. I found his reviews last Friday, desperately searching for a vet to see our 15 year old terrier mix "daughter", on the same day. She was deteriorating rapidly, eating and drinking very little, etc. 3 other vets had opined that there was nothing seriously wrong with her. I found one who could see her the same day, but didn't have a great feeling about them, so I kept looking. Paw Priority's reviews and website resonated, so I called them. Diana answered the phone and told me they were booked for the day...but if I would hold on, she would ask the vet. After a minute or 2 she returned and asked if we could bring her in at 4:30. Heck yeah! From the moment Diana answered the phone until we sadly said hasta la vista (not goodbye!) to our beloved pup today (still crying), the experience was stellar, to say the least. Dr. Ameis is by far the best vet, of the many we have encountered in LA and in the old country (NYC area). He is highly knowledgeable, kind, caring, flexible, accessible, responsive and rea$onable. As others have stated, his staff follows suit. Thank you, Diana, Rebecca and Jose x 2. Dr. Ameis gave us so much of his time in analyzing and communicating his thoughts. Above and beyond. When we thought we would need to say goodbye to our baby, yesterday, he devised a no-risk way to try to effect improvement, for one more day. Sadly, as was highly probable, it didn't work, however, short as it may seem, we will always cherish the precious time with her over the last day/night. Dr. A also made the euthanasia as tolerable as humanly possible. I am skeptical of any reviews for this vet/office that are less than 5 stars, though no one is perfect, of course. The notion expressed by M, that the reviews are not authentic is not only nonsense, but highly inappropriate from someone labled as a 3rd level guide (2nd level must be dog poop). I call upon Google to remove that unfair and mendacious review! Google has enough guardrails in place to detect fake reviews! As for the reviewer who claims that A. - he felt rushed, B. - had to wait, and , C. - "The whole experience felt like they cared more about charging me than actually helping." I say this - I am highly experienced in life and dealing with doctors of all flavors. I am a good judge of character. As for "C", there is no way he would prioritize anything above the patients' best interests. B. - We had to wait too. Maybe 20 or 30 minutes, a couple of times. That's not even a wait by L.A. standards, rather it's a tribute to the Dr.'s attention to each and every of the many patients, whose trust he has earned. As for feeling rushed, I know full well how much we love our pets and can get emotional, in blaming others for items that are beyond control. We couldn't be more satisfied with our patient experience. Try Dr. A., before or after you go elsewhere.Posted on I'MPERFECT NTTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found this vet by coincidence on Google, and it truly turned out to be one of the best decisions I could have made for my dog. My dog had overlooked lumps in her mammary glands that unfortunately turned out to be cancerous. She required a major surgery to remove the tumors along with a sterilization procedure. It was a heavy and painful surgery, and naturally I was very worried. The doctor handled everything with professionalism, skill, and genuine care. The procedure was done correctly, and my dog recovered surprisingly quickly and smoothly. What truly stood out was the post-surgery care. The vet went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable, received the right medications, and was able to sleep through the pain during the first critical days. I always felt informed and supported throughout the entire process. On top of that, the price was very affordable considering the complexity of the surgery. I am deeply grateful for the level of expertise and compassion shown. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a trustworthy and competent veterinarian.Posted on Sammy ScherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When my dog ate mushrooms in a neighbor’s yard, I called Paw Priority due to the glowing reviews. The entire experience — from my initial phone conversation with the front desk to Dr. Ameis’ follow-ups after our visit to the clinic — exceeded all expectations. My dog was seen and treated immediately upon arrival, and Dr. Ameis and his team were incredibly thoughtful, helpful, professional, and efficient throughout our visit. I have taken my dog to a handful of carefully selected vets over the years, and none of them hold a candle to Dr. Ameis’ patient-centered approach and empathetic care.Posted on Kathleen TompkinsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had such a great time with Dr. Ameis, Rebecca, Jose M., and I sadly didn’t catch her name but the sweetest receptionist. I called with concerns and was instantly calmed and all my questions were answered. I was lucky enough to squeeze in that day for an appointment and my cat Westie was taken care of with so much compassion and knowledge. I was shown how to use her medicine and left feeling at ease. Westie even got a welcome card with her photo and chocolate.Posted on Julie FarmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been alternating between Paw Priority and my 14 year-old dog's longtime vet for about a year. I started going to Paw Priority because they were always able to find time for Prince Jr, who is almost as hysterical as I am when he's on the exam table. Dr. Ameis tailors his behavior to accomodate ours -- a rarity -- and he has always been kind and gentle while at the same time providing excellent veterinary care. The staff is great -- particularly Jose, the tech who has taken his vitals and history everytime we've been there -- and the follow-up is extraordinary. Returned calls, inquiries about Prince's health following appointments, and prescriptions quickly authorized. There's no upselling! I now have more anxiety when we have appointments than Prince does; yesterday we walked by the Paw Priority office and Prince insisted on going in.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
